Question: What weight limit cross bars is prefered.
Answer: Minimum weight 200lbs as the tent itself weighs that much

Question: Is their enough room when stowed, for a thicker sleeping pad like a 2 or 3" thick memory foam mattress?
Answer: Yes, I added another 2” foam mattress. Best thing I ever did for it.

Question: If it rains, is it waterproof or water resistant?
Answer: Yes our tent can be zipped up to be waterproof during rain

Question: Can you store bedding (pillow/comforter/mattress pad) in the tent while it is down (closed)?
Answer: The included mattress fits in the tent while closed yes, any extra items you leave in there we cannot guarantee if they will be deformed as there are too many variables on different items.

Question: After collapsing the tent, do you have to climb up or reach up and latch the top in place prior to driving down the road?
Answer: Yes, absolutely
